Giving


We would like to say thank you to all those who give financial support to St John's Church either regularly or whenever they are able to do so. We greatly value, and desperately need, your help with the running of our church, maintaining our building and to enable our mission.

We are always delighted to receive weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual or ad hoc donations, and these can be made in the following  different ways:

  • By bank transfer or Standing Order.  Our church bank account details are:  HSBC Bank, sort code 40-46-08, account number 51431609.
  • By cash into the church plate during services.
  • By using the contactless card machine near the main door of the church.

  • By text.  Just text the word LEMSFORD followed by a space and then an amount that you wish to give, to 70085, e.g. to give £10 type LEMSFORD 10, and send to 70085.
  • By using the Parish Giving Scheme, which is a direct debit scheme.  Please ask the Treasurer or a Church Warden for more information.


 

Legacies 

You can also make a gift to the church by way of a legacy in your will.  At St John's we welcome gifts in wills, however large or small, and our policy is to use them to fund  church development projects, whether facilities, mission or other priorities.  We will always discuss bequests with executors to ensure that any gift honours the donor's wishes.  We promise to use any gift to make a difference to our church.  Information about legacies can be found on the Church of England website by going to:  https://www.churchlegacy.org.uk/downloads/gifts-of-faith-hope-and-love.compressed.pdf .

You can support St John's Church, Lemsford by shopping online. 

Every time you shop online via easyfundraising at one of the 3,300 retailers including John Lewis, Aviva, Sainsbury’s and Booking.com, a donation will be made us, and it won’t cost you a penny extra.

Home insurance
